| November 2009: Guests of the runnymede-on-thames (www.therunnymede.co.uk) near Windsor have always enjoyed its unrivalled location on the banks of the River Thames. And this month, the hotel unveiled a remarkable transformation, which enhances its riverside setting beautifully. | ||
| The new look starts as soon as guests turn into the freshly landscaped approach to the hotel. A dramatic new glass extension has been designed to open up the heart of the hotel, from the front entrance through the stylish new reception and lobby and out to the riverside terraces – and creating uninterrupted views of the Thames. | ||

Inside, the revived interiors are welcoming, contemporary, light and airy. Leftbank restaurant has been transformed and the stylish new lobby lounge has become the natural hub of the hotel: by day as a relaxed but buzzy place to rendezvous, and by night as a destination bar. Brand new meeting spaces, all with natural daylight and the latest technology, complement the new lobby and restaurant perfectly. Guests returning to the runnymede-on-thames will find all the best things about the hotel are unchanged: the award-winning spa, luxurious guestrooms, its family-owned and family-run atmosphere and above all, its famously friendly service, all remain. |

Dine-on-thames ~ The new-look leftbank restaurant has been re-imagined. With floor-to-ceiling windows, natural oak-panelled flooring, slate topped tables and birch tree sculptures, the new restaurant is relaxed and light. The best quality, seasonal food is displayed in a tantalising buffet and hot dishes are prepared in the open kitchen right in front of the guests. All tables have views of the Thames, and for summer eating, there are large new terraces, right on the banks of the river. |

| Meet-on-thames ~ Attractive new meeting and events spaces have been changed beyond all recognition, all in striking contemporary style. New layouts and interiors, filled with natural daylight, with private terraces for fresh air and BBQs in the summer, the latest meeting room technology, places to network, a coffee shop to relax, a chill-out garden, have all been specially designed in response to client feedback and research conducted by the hotel last year. |

Celebrate-on-thames ~ Next year sees the completion of the refurbishment, with the opening of another restaurant, a glamorous new open-air swimming pool and new tennis courts in the orchard. |
