The Colonnade

The Colonnade, part of boutique hotel group The Eton Collection, is a charming hotel located in Little Venice, one of London’s most exclusive residential areas, flanked by Regent’s Park and Hyde Park and only a short distance from London’s West End.  Formerly a Victorian Mansion and the birthplace of  Alan Turing (the brilliant mathematician responsible for breaking the Enigma code during World War II), it was transformed into a hotel in 1935 and Sigmund Freud soon became a loyal guest.  The hotel has 43 individually designed guest rooms and suites, some with private terraces and many with four poster beds.  The sumptuous interior design uses rich colours and fabrics and elegant antiques, and the cosy lounge give the feel of a truly private residence.
