Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa

Appearances are deceptive at Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa, just 200 metres from the beach in the village of Climping. On first sight it may look like an ancient manor house, but it was in fact built in the 1920’s by the Guinness family, using only medieval timber and stone collected from derelict 13th century buildings nearby.
Set within 30 acres of parkland, the 39 intimate lodgings are reached via oak-panelled passageways around a rose-filled courtyard, many with oak beams, sculpted four poster beds and open, working log fires. An award-winning Spa, locally sourced food and a bracing walk on Climping Beach completes the perfect British escape.
The property has recently been selected as the ‘Inspector’s Choice’ by the AA, distinguishing it as one of the best in the British Isles.
